Impeachment Agenda Against Kwabena Agyepong And Afoko Is "Ungodly" - Manhyia North MP

NPP Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon Collins Amankwa has described the agenda of some party executives and leaders to oust the National Chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko and the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong as ungodly.

According to him, the repercussions which will follow will be worse than what the New Patriotic Party is witnessing if theysucceed in forcing them to step aside or resign from their positions as leaders of the party.

Speaking on Accra-based Top FMs Morning Show, Hon. Collins Amankwa reminded that thousands of delegates voted for the duo to occupy their positions and it will be disastrous to undermine the mandate of the delegates whose spirit and support are behind them.

He asserted that those who the executives are claiming to have signed for the removal of the two leaders from their post are stage-managed as nobody has seen the signatories of those supposed delegates.

He was however emphatic that those who are asking for the resignation of Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko did not vote for the duo during the congress at Tamale, insisting that the way forward to solving this problem is not asking them to step aside.

This agenda against Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko is ungodly which will further deepen the division in the party. They know that the way they wanted to stage coup against the two leaders is not good, he fumed.

He therefore demanded those executives calling for the resignation of Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko should first resign from their respective positions, stressing that the resignations of the beleaguered National Chairmanand the Chief Scribe will not end the internal wrangling.
