UPP Will Gladly Accept Afoko, Agyepong And Alan K - Odike

Leader and Founder of the United Progressive Party (UPP), AKwasi Addae a.k.a Odike says in the spirit of democracy which allows freedom of association, the embattled NPP National chairman, Paul Afoko; General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong and former Presidential aspirant Alan Kyerematen are welcomed to join his party if they are not needed in the elephant fraternity.

He maintained that Nana Akufo-Addo is not the alternative President for the country inspite of the fact that President John Dramani Mahama has failed woefully. He argues happenings in the NPP speaks volumes of the division within the party and evidently indicates Nana Addo has failed as a leader.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Kwasi Addae Odike persuaded the beleaguered leaders in the New Patriotic Party to hurriedly join his UPP to form a formidable team to wrestle power from the ruling NDC government.

I will plead with Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko to bring their followers to UPP if NPP does not want them in the party; Alan, Afoko and Agyepong bring your followers...enjoin them to be members of UPP and occupy leadership roles in our party to win power in 2016 elections,” he pleaded.

He maintained that the intellectual capabilities of Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko are needed in the UPP; indicating that anybody in the NPP who feels left out of the party is gladly welcomed to join his party to bring prosperity to Ghanaians.

He said it is not mandatory for those who feel left out of the NPP to remain there if their services are not appreciated; emphasizing that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah moved to form CPP to win independence for Ghana.

When Dr. Kwame Nkrumah moved to form CPP, he won independence for Ghana and the same can happen in NPP. There is freedom of association and it is not incumbent on them to remain in a party where they are not wanted,” he stated.
