Nana Addo: "Let Afoko, Agyepong Have Access To Hdqtrs...I Won't Tolerate Chaos Within NPP"

The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has asked party members to allow the National Chairman and General Secretary of the party to do their work as expected.

According to him, Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong must be allowed to enter the party headquarters to discharge the duties they have been elected to do without any hindrance.

The NPP's National Chairman and the General Secretary, have since the death of the party's Upper East Regional Chairman, Alhaji Adams Mahama, been unable to operate from their offices at the party’s headquarters. The “Invisible Forces”, claiming to be the party’s private security, clashed with some loyalists of Paul Afoko on Thursday,” at the party’s headquarters.

But speaking at a press conference held on Friday at the party headquarters on internal party wranglings, Nana Addo warned that he will not tolerate any chaos within the NPP and called for all “recriminations against ourselves in this period of healing”.

The national chairman and the general secretary in particular must have access to their offices at the party’s headquarters and not be hindered in any way from conducting their activities. The NPP way of doing things is to be guided by law and order and I ask that normalcy return to our headquarters and party offices. I ask that we extend mutual respect to each other....I will not tolerate chaos within our party. The recriminations against ourselves in this period of healing, I repeat, must stop,” he asserted.

Interestingly, though party bigwigs are present at the gathering, the embattled National Chairman and General Secretary are absent.
