Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Gasmilla, Tinny, EL, Joey B, Other Set For Pre- Republic Day Beach Rave

It is usually not common to see a galaxy of stars on one stage but it seems that is exacly what will happen at the Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Gasmilla, Tinny concert scheduled for Saturday, June 23, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The concert, which will feature artistes such as Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Gasmilla, Tinny, Dobble, Keche, Nero X, Pappy Kojo, EL, Joey B and a host of others is expected to draw many patrons to the venue and set the tone for the Republic holiday on July 1. Organised by Quallos Production, an event management company and the Light A Million Lives Foundation, the concert aims at raising funds to support the construction of solar panels for the Mampong School for the Deaf. Even though the event boasts of several artistes who will perform on the night, the organisers have given the mandate to the public to vote for their favourite artiste to headline the upcoming concert. At a press briefing last week Tuesday, at the Accra Mall, the organisers said the decision to let the public choose the headline act is to get them involved in the decision making. Mr. Mel Davis, Executive Secretary of Light A Million Lives Foundation and Event Director for the concert, said the public can vote for their artistes on the various social media platforms of some selected media partners including UTV, Peace FM and myjoyonline.com. Mr. Davis told Showbiz on Monday that, the team will officially announce the headline act based on the number of votes gained on the various voting platforms. This is to give the artistes equal opportunity and not for us the organisers to decide who is the best among them. Any artiste can emerge the headline act and that artiste will be given preferential treatment on the day, he stated. The Pre- Republic Day Beach Rave concert is supported by Labadi Beach Hotel, UTV, Okay FM, Toontoom.com, Georgebritton.com, Hype Oracle, Brainbox Consult, Peacefmonline, com, Ghanagist.com, myjoyonline.com and adomonline.com.
