I Support Adjournment Of Ghana@50 Probe

The Commission of inquiry set up by the president to inquire into the activities of the Ghana@50 Secretariat has adjourned its public sittings for one week due to the slow response of public sector officers who are scheduled to submit memoranda and appear before it as witnesses. However, the former Chief Executive Office (CEO), of the Ghana@50 secretariat, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby has flatly supported the move as invited public officials are truly not ready for the committee, as such this will prepare them adequately when sitting resumes. The commission, accordingly, resumes its public sittings at the conference room of the old Parliament house on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Meanwhile, the commission continues its work and its offices are opened to receive memoranda and petitions.
