Accra Flooding: Nana Addo Speaks - Ghana Will Work Again, But Remember To Keep Your Environment Clean

NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed worry about the latest flooding in the city of Accra.

A heavy downpour on Tuesday which flooded most areas in Accra, rendering roads inaccessible and virtually bringing the city to a standstill.

A student of the Government Secretariat died at Agege near Dansoman in Accra after she fell into a flooded gutter Tuesday.

According to Joy News' Francis Abban, 20-year -old, Freda Serwaa slipped into an open drain when she attempted to pave way to an oncoming vehicle.

Apart from the death, some residents were left homeless after the flood water took over their homes.

Nana Addo however prayed for the victims and expressed optimism that – “Ghana will work again”.

“My heart goes out to all who have been affected by the rains today. In times like these, let's pray for each other and remember to keep your environment clean,” he posted on Facebook.
