Majeed Waris Receives Late Call-Up For Black Stars AFCON Qualifier Against Mauritius
Turkey-based attacker Abdul Majeed Waris has received a late invitation from the Black Stars technical team as a replacement for Chicago Fire’s David Accam.Dailysoccerghana.net has reported.
The 23-year-old was handed a call-up following Accam’s inability to join the team ahead of the crucial game against Mauritius in Accra.
Dailysoccerghana.net on Friday reported that Accam has informed Coach Avram Grant of his inability to join his colleagues in camp for the continental assignment which prompted the Israeli trainer to draft in the Trabzonspor attacker.
The Black Stars are currently holding a non-residential camp at JMG Academy in Adenta.
