Fuel Station Fire Injures 2 In Ejura

A fuel station at Ejura Sekyere -Dumasi in the Ashanti Region was razed down by fire on Friday.

 
It is unclear what caused the fire but the Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the fuel station was completely destroyed before personnel could bring the fire under control.
 
Two people are reported to have sustained various degree of injuries and have since been sent to the hospital for medical attention. 
 
This comes few days after a similar fire at a Goil fuel station in Accra claimed more than 150 lives.
 
In an interview with Citi News, the Ashanti Regional Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Philip Arhin Mensah narrated that his outfit received a distress call around 3pm on Friday about the fire outbreak. 
 
Unfortunately, the fire tender at the nearest fire station in Ejura was unavailable therefore, residents had to a call the Mampong Fire Station around 5pm to come douse the fire.
