Don't Blame Economic Woes On NPP Internal Wrangling Awuku

The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Sammy Awuku, has said the incompetence of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, as he described it, has nothing to do with the internal wrangling within the NPP.

He has therefore urged Ghanaians to assess their living conditions during the NDC regime before casting their votes in the 2016 general election.

Mr Awuku made the call at the inauguration of the Oda - Asene - Aboabo Methodist College of Education (METCOE) branch of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) At Akyem Oda recently.

He said the loss of livelihoods, jobs, high rate of unemployment, coupled with the unending intermittent power outages (Dumsor) for over three years would compel the masses to vote out the NDC come 2016.

Mr Awuku stressed that the masses would not vote against the NPP because there was a problem in the party.
He emphasised that the NPP was taking realistic measures to resolve the differences that arose after the sudden death of Alhaji Adams Mahama to restore peace, unity and the confidence of the people to enhance the party's chance in the 2016 general election.

Mr. Awuku charged TESCON members to be strategically positioned, network among themselves and outside to win more members for the NPP.

The National Youth Organiser stressed that Ghanaians would vote for a change in 2016 when "Ghana's Messiah" in the person of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would emerge as the new President to deliver them from the socio-economic bondage.

The Eastern Regional Youth Organiser of the NPP, Mr. Jerry Osei- Poku, who swore the seven-member TESCON executives into office, urged the members to not limit their work to the campuses, but extend it to the polling stations and constituencies because Election 2016 would be won at the polling stations.

According to him, the major work of TESCON is to mobilise intellectual brains for the NPP.

Mr. Osei-Poku advised them to volunteer as party agents for Election 2016 so that ''there would not be any issues of the repetition of 27 - 0''

"If in 2012, you and I were not there, in 2016 you and I will be there,'' he concluded.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Oda, Mr William Agyapong Quaitto enjoined the TESCON members to work hard by campaigning effectively for the NPP to win the 2016 general election.

He called for network by TESCON in the various tertiary educational institutions to enhance the chances of the NPP come 2016.
