If former VIP member, Promzy, intended to use his recent attacks on Reggie Rockstone, via Facebook, to start an open fight with the latter, he probably needs to find another “enemy”.

Rockstone also known as Yaw Asante Ossei says though the words that Promzy threw at him were allegedly laced with threats on his life, he was not worried and also had no intention to take legal action against him.

On his Facebook wall last week Thursday, Promzy, a former member of VIP sent this message, “The reason behind my silence is that I’m not the p***y type running after radio or to seek attention or wanna be heard. A real street n*gga doesn’t talk too much, we put in work.

Real n*ggas don’t start when they can’t finish. We don’t have time for low life n*ggas. As old as you are, you don’t want to respect yourself, who even made you the grand papa of hiplife (that sounds like a self title to me, tell people the truth about me). Never bite the hands that feed you.

“Remember this, I’m always going to be PROMZY AFRIKA, the true king of Nima. So shut the f**k up or else, it will be ugly, yaw Asante and I’m not playing. The Most painful thing is when an opportunist thinks his stupidity and greed will make you speak but your silent hurts the more. I’m coming for you all but at the right time,” the post reads.

Talking to Showbiz last Saturday from Takoradi where together with the other members of VVIP—Prodigal and Zeal led the monthly Sanitation Day clean up exercise, Reggie, 51, said even though he feared for his life, he wouldn’t’ pursue it legally.

“Promzy is a little brother and can even be a son to me because my first daughter is 29 years old. I wouldn’t want to come to the level of engaging in unnecessary banter with someone young enough to be my child.

“It will hurt me to know that Promzy is in trouble or facing the law because of me. Never! I have loved him and anyone who knows us can testify that we have a very good relationship. The truth is that I’m closer to him than any of the other two guys, Zeal and Prodigal,” he stated.

Reggie, who said he couldn’t find any reason to attribute for the “hate post” from Promzy since they were on “cool terms” told Showbiz that he will find time to sort out any perceived differences with his “little brother”.

“ Perhaps, he didn’t know that what he did could land him in trouble with the law but it is not in my person to rejoice at other’s misery.

That is why I have resolved not to take this issue up. I am an old man now and should know how to handle issues such as this. He is my little brother, I will call him and we will settle it amicably,” he stated.

He, however, disclosed that Zeal, who is the leader of the VVIP group, will release a video online this week to officially state the group’s position on the matter.

For now, he said, the group is still working hard to remain relevant on the music scene after they recently released four new songs, Skolom, Hustle, OMG and a remix of Selfie which features Idris Elba.

VV1P was formed in 2014 and the group made up of Zeal, Prodigal and Reggie Rockstone, won the Best Group of the Year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and Reggie said this is just the beginning of greater things from the VVIP group.
