Kotoko midfielder Owusu Jackson is reported to have been attacked by some irate fans of the Club after their 2-1 loss to New Edubiase on Friday.
 
The 26-year-old is said to have been physically assaulted by the home fans following an exchange of words with the angry supporters who had raised insults on the team after the game at the Babayara Sports Stadium.

The former Berekum Chelsea midfielder is alleged to have jumped to the defense of his colleagues who were being booed and jeered as he tried to prevent the fans from getting closer to the team.

The midfielder unfortunately got himself into trouble as he got pounced on receiving slaps and blows from the incensed supporters hence sustaining injuries in the process.

Kotoko are having a poor run in the League as they currently lie 11th with 22 points after 17 rounds of matches.

Kotoko’s chances of retaining the League title remain a huge doubt following their poor performance in the League.

The Ghana Champions faces a tough test as they travel to face strugglers Great Olympics in their next League fixture.
