Kofi Jumah Officially Charged

A former Member of Parliament for Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region, has been charged with destroying electoral materials and disturbing public peace.

Kofi Jumah, popularly known as Kofi Ghana who was a parliamentary aspirant in the Asokwa constituency was on Saturday arrested for ripping up the party’s voters’ register during the primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to information gathered, Kofi Jumah suspected the register was doctored to suit his opponent, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency, Patricia Agyei.

Reporting from the Ashanti Region, PEACE FM correspondent, Isaac Owusu said the police has officially charged the former MP with destruction of electoral materials, causing of unlawful damage and offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace.
