Ghanaians Are Stubborn Citizens...They Need To Be Ruled With An Iron Fist - Nunoo-Mensah

A former National Security Advisor, Brigadier General (Rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah has described Ghanaians as “stubborn” citizens - he explained that the citizenry are the cause of Ghana’s setback over the years with their lackadaisical attitude.

“I am disappointed in Ghanaians because the Ghana that I was born into is not the same that I am seeing today. Things have gone from good to worst. Ghana is the same and the only thing that has changed is the people.

“We need to rule with a bit of iron fist. Now the people have become stubborn so you cannot at every time be telling them to change," he said.

The security capo was speaking on Accra-based Kasapa FM, concerning a private memo he has sent to the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, calling for the banning of sachet water in the country.

According to him, Ghana will forever remain stagnant if the populace are not ready to change their mindset; “We need to sit up as a nation because we are moving down the hill.”

“We have lost our sense of morality and patriotism. We don’t have patriots in this country. We don’t think about this country any longer. Now everybody is looking for money which is a problem,” he added.
