There’s no denying the fact that, Neat 100.9FM, one of the subsidiary radio stations of the conglomerate, Despite Group of Companies – is lagging behind the rest of its sister stations in the capital city, Peace 104.3FM and Okay 101.7FM and Management is making a move to fix it.
Kwasi Aboagye, the experienced broadcaster who is currently the Manager of Neat FM as well the host of ‘Entertainment Ghana’ and ‘Asem Yi Di Ka’ shows, all on the same station plus the popular ‘Entertainment Review’ show on Peace FM, has been engaged by management to spearhead the revolution to catch up with the others in the market share.Razz Newspaper
He is set to take over the ‘morning show’ of the station, which has been restructured to make a statement in the telling competition that pertains on that radio slot.The Neat FM ‘Morning Show’ with Kwasi Aboagye as host will start on the 1st of July, 2015 and will tackle socio-political -related issues across the country.
Several segments will complement the almost 5 hour program, including groundbreaking interviews, newspaper review segments and panel discussion. The show is scheduled to kick start regular daily programming of the station from 5.30am – 10am, Monday- Friday.
Commenting on his new task, Kwasi was buoyant and upbeat about the new love, not a challenge as he prefers to call it.“I see this not as a challenge but doing what I love to do for now.
“I recognize the ‘Morning Show’ is a highly competitive area and as such, if my team and I put in more effort, I am sure we will make an impact, but ultimately, we are here to contribute to the enrichment of morning radio in Ghana,” he shared.
