Obaapa Christy Donates To Orphanage

When popular gospel singer, Obaapa Christy made a promise to donate part of the proceeds of her latest album, Hyebre Sesafo to an orphange during its launch last April, it seems she really meant it. And to show she meant business, the Okramanfuno Ba singer made good on her promise last Wednesday when she presented a variety of items and GH1000 to the Royal Seed Orphanage at Ofaakor in the Greater Accra Region. The items included bags of rice and sugar, toiletries, detergents, noodles, cartons of milk, mattresses and boxes of mineral water. In addition, some friends of the singer also presented a cash amount of GH500 to the orphanage. Presenting the items to the management of the facility, Obaapa Christy said the donation was to augment the efforts of managers of the orphanage. She expressed gratitude to her fans and close relations who have supported her in diverse ways since the release of the album. Founder of the orphanage, Ms Naomi Amoah, thanked the singer for her support. She said the donation would greatly help the orphanage to fulfil its core mandate of assisting to provide a bright future for children.
