All-Share Index rises on gains OF GCB, GOIL

The benchmark GSE All-Share index of the Ghana Stock Exchange rose on Thursday on the back of gains by Ghana Commercial Bank and GOIL. The index went up by 3.77 points to close the session at 5,313.05 points from 5,209.28 points on Wednesday. Change for the year to date now stands at -49.07 per cent. Shares that changed hands were down at 92,100 compared to 341,700 at the previous session. Market capitalisation went up marginally at GH�15,199.62 million from GH�15,196.87 million. There were four price changes - two up and two down. Ghana Commercial Bank gained GH�0.01 at GH�0.71; GOIL made GH�0.02 at GH�0.16; Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Ltd lost GH�0.01 at GH�0.15 and State Insurance Company also lost GH�0.01 at GH�0.23.
