We Must Win The Talensi By-election To Honor The Late Adams- Wontumi


Ever since the New Patriotic Party lost their former Upper East Regional Chairman under bizarre circumstance, one pillar of strength who has constantly visited the area to ensure things normalize is Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman.

Currently, Mohammed Mutala Ibrahim has been elected to replace the late former Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama.

Over the weekend, the Ashanti Regional Chairman was in the area to throw his weight behind the party as they prepare for the Talensi by-election on July 7th, 2015. 

The Talensi seat was declared vacant after the former MP Robert Nachinab Doameng Mosore of the NPP was elevated to the status of a paramount chief of the Tongo tradition area.  

The party has currently nominated Thomas Duanab Wuni as their parliamentary candidate as they aim to maintain the seat.  

Upon visiting the area, Mr. Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, spoke to both the regional chairman and parliamentary candidate for the area and promised them he would assist them to succeed.

In the company of Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, the NPP’s Chairman for Kwabre West Constituency, Madam Beatrice Owusu and Andy Owusu, Chairman Wontumi stated that everything the late Adams started must be finished on a positive note to ensure his memory is honoured.
