Alleged Blackmailers Threaten To Harm Renowned Prophet...After Botched Pregnancy/Abortion Smear

The Bible teaching about pastoral temptations is real. It is also somewhat unique in that they encounter things that regular Christians don’t experience – at least to the same degree.

The heart of this pastoral temptation is sexual sin. Clergymen have a special role of leadership and power in the church. People look up to them, and sometimes view them in god like terms.

Men of God are nice and kind in public – something many husbands are not – either in private or public. The result is that many ladies think the clergyman is far better than any ordinary man. A romantic “crush” may result then - temptations may follow.

Paul spoke of this practice by some, “For among them [men of God] are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses” (2 Timothy 3:6). Paul was speaking of bad ministers, but it is a trap that innocent, well-meaning men of God can fall into.

In spite of the scripture that says “Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!” some extortionists have vowed to cause the founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah great harm after failing to trap him by accusing him of infidelity in a bid to tarnish his reputation.

The famous prophet was in the news a week ago when a lady by name “Betty Hipsy” on Facebook but born “Betty Kessewaa” claimed that her battered face was as a result of a heated spat between herself and Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah after aborting a pregnancy purported to be his [Owusu Bempah].

“Was pregnant for him [Rev. Owusu Bempah] and he asked me to abort it and I did after that he was ignoring me so went to see him yestnight [last night] and saw him with another girl so we were exchanging words and he started beating me,” she posted that on Facebook on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 2:32pm.

In response, Rev. Owusu Bempah denied ever knowing the lady – “I have never set my eyes on her. Someone sent me her picture today. I am really shocked” in an interview with Peacefmonline.com.

He was emphatic that the allegation is a plot from some unknown extortionists to tarnish his reputation.

However, a screenshot message available to Peacefmonline.com indicates that week before Betty Hipsy’s allegations went viral on social media – unknown person sent an inbox message to Rev. Owusu Bempah demanding a sum of 10,000.

The message reads – “Owusu bampa [Bempa] if you don’t want trouble bring the sum of 10,000ghc to jokers. Somebody will come for it or else we will disgrace you” - with a warning “This is not a joke”.

Days after peacefmonline.com have published the “beating-pregnancy-abortion” claims by Betty Hipsy with the Man of God’s denial, another threating message has been sent to Rev. Owusu Bempah.

“Owusu Benpa [Bempa], you tink [think] you are geting [getting] away with this one. Then be ready we are caming [coming] again” – The worrisome message was sent on Sunday, 28 June, 20015 at 6:20am

However, all attempts by Peacefmonline.com to reach the extortionists have been unsuccessful – an application [Truecaller] to track them failed as well.

“I have reported the case to the police for investigation. This people cannot destroy me in any way. He that is in me is grater that he that is in the world”, the renowned prophet told Peacefmonline.com when contacted.
