Kotoko Defender Abeiku Ainooson To Return In Three Weeks Time

Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson is expected to return to action in three weeks time after sustaining a thigh injury in his side’s League fixture against Bechem United at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
 
The 24-year-old is expected to return to the pitch in the next 21 days after media reports suggested the player will be out for the rest of the season.

Ainooson is said to have suffered a Quadriceps Muscle Strain in his right thigh and is currently undergoing rehabilitation after receiving treatment from the medical team.

A statement released on the Club’s website reads: The medical team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko announces to supporters and the general public that, media reports suggesting that, Abeiku Ainooson will be out for the rest of the season because of the injury he sustained in the Kotoko-Bechem United on 28/06/2015 are untrue.

The facts are that, Abeiku Ainooson sustained a Grade 2 Quadriceps Muscle Strain of the Right Thigh. He is currently undergoing treatment with a rehabilitation program designed for his full recovery back into the team.

The duration for his recovery will be three weeks after which he will be able to perform well on functional field tests and thus re-integrated into the team.

The medical team wants to assure everybody that, Abeiku Ainooson will return to the team fully fit before the season ends. The medical team is most grateful to all stakeholders of the game for their concern.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs skipper has had a nerve-wracking campaign with the Porcupine Warriors this season.
