NPP Will Lose Talensi Seat Asiedu Nketia Predicts

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has predicted doom for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the upcoming Talensi by-election on Tuesday.

He said constituents in Talensi are fed up with accusations and falsehood leveled against them by the opposition NPP, hence their decision to kick them out in Talensi.

“Ever since the Talensi seat became vacant, the NPP have accused us of sharing money and other items to constituents but I must say on authority that none of their accusation is true and because of that the people of Talensi are tired and want them out,” he stated on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Monday.

The people of Talensi will on Tuesday head to the polls to elect a new Member of Parliament. The seat became vacant after the sitting MP got elevated to the position of the Paramount Chief of Talensi.

Campaigning ended today with two big rallies organised by the NPP and the NDC. The NPP hopes to retain the seat while the NDC is determined to re-capture the seat.

But General Mosquito as he is called believes it would be easy for the NDC to win hands down.

“It is easy to contest NPP in every election and so the Talensi by-election is just an easy task for us. We are not perturbed by their accusations because they only wanted a reason so that when they lose, they can complain bitterly to Ghanaians," he said.

He continued that “B.T Baba is the better man for the Talensi seat and I will personally bring him after Tuesday’s election for his swearing in.”
