CEO of the Despite Group of Companies, Dr. Osei Kwame ‘Despite’ on Saturday the 4th of July won the Enterprise Mogul of the Year award at the 5th edition of the Ghana UK-Based Awards (GUBA) in London.  

Although he wasn’t there to pick up the well deserved award, Fadda Dickson, the Director of Finance and Administration of the Despite Group was there to receive it on his behalf.  

The ceremony took place at the plush Hilton Metropole Hotel and was hosted by Peace FM’s Morning show host, Mr. Kwami Sefa-Kayi. Ms Afua Hirsch joined him to moderate the show which was sponsored by Blavo and Co. Solicitors, uniBank Ghana.

At the same ceremony, the late Komla Dumor  was awarded the GUBA Posthumus Special Achievement Award for his contribution to the media in Ghana and beyond. His wife, Kwansema Dumor received it on his behalf.

The GUBA Awards ceremony is a platform for celebrating excellence and exceptional achievements by Ghanaians and to honour extraordinary accomplishments of those in the UK and Ghana.
