Brouhaha Over Akotombra DCE

Supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sefwi Akotombra constituency of the Western Region have strongly warned the constituency executives to back down their machinations to oust the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Peter Nkuah from office.

They cautioned that if the constituency executives work clandestinely to move the DCE from office they would equally resist which in the end would most likely affect the voting fortunes of the party in the 2016 elections.

“We are ever prepared to face the few constituency executives who have been working surreptitiously to see the removal of the DCE from office. We won’t allow the handful of executives to take the NDC for ransom.” Kwasi Mensah, who is the leader of the group, indicated in an interview with the DAILY HERITAGE.

He explained that since the appointment of Mr. Nkuah in 2009 as the Chief Executive for the Akotombra district, he has worked tenuously to transform the area in terms of infrastructure development.

“If they would continue to mount pressure on the DCE to leave office, we are equally ready to face them with the fiercest resistance,” he cautioned.

Mr. Mensah alleged that executives of the party in the constituency are being pushed to carry out the destructive mission by someone who is interested in the same position.

“We ready to expose those who are behind this clandestine move to remove the DCE from office,” he said.
