National Ambulance Services Warns Against Recruitment Scam

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has denied reports that the Service has started the recruitment of people to be trained as Emergency Medical Technicians and drivers.

The Management of NAS, in a statement signed by Mr Dan Osman Mwin, the Public Relations Officer, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, on Wednesday, said there was no such action by NAS and no advertisement had been authorised to that effect.

The statement said: “We, therefore, wish to advise the public to refuse to pay any amount of money to any individual who would claim to be a staff of NAS or authorized by NAS to sell any recruitment forms on its behalf.

“Anybody who pays any such money to any person does so at his own risk.”

The Management has also advised the public to report any person who would approach them on behalf of the Service to the Police, and the NAS Headquarters opposite the new courts complex near the Cocoa Affairs Courts, adjacent to the Greater Accra Regional Offices of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The statement advised the public to reach the Public Relations Unit of NAS on mobile numbers 0244732876/ 0203631350/ 0261864791 for the appropriate actions to be taken.
