July 20 Declared A Public Holiday

Government has declared Monday, July 20, as a public holiday.

A statement issued in Accra yesterday and signed by the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Mark Owen Woyongo, said the President, through an Executive Instrument, has declared the day as a holiday in view of the fact that July 18, which marks Eid-ul-Fitr, a statutory holiday falls on Saturday.

It urged the public to observe the day as such throughout the country.
