John Boadu Sheds Tears

…Over Attempts To Undermine Akufo Addo

Baah Acheamfour’s loyalty to his party, the New Patriotic Party, is being questioned by elements in his party as well as political watchers. Acheamfour’s character and personality are under intense scrutiny.

Just a few weeks after seeming calm returned to the fold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the likes of Baah Acheamfour have started barking with his stale and covetous lips, leaking vital party information to the media for personal gains.

The conduct of the gentleman who is leading a campaign for the disqualification of Nana Addo Dakwah Akufo Addo as the party’s flagbearer is feeding into perceptions of mistrust, schemes and inaction leveled against some senior personalities within the party.

Speaking on Okay FM, Baah Acheamfour, spokesperson for the Save NPP Now pressure group alleged that John Boadu who is the National Organiser of NPP included in a budgetary allocation to the party executives that he (John Boadu) took GH¢5000 from the party’s coffers for actress Yvonne Nelson to support her dumsor campaign.

According Baah he doesn’t believe the said amount was actually given to Yvonne Nelson but insisted that John Boadu might have taken that money for something else and allegedly stated in a budget that he (JB) gave it to Yvonne Nelson. He added that John Boadu claimed that Yvonne Nelson and her team requested for support from NPP and party duly obliged and approved an amount of GH¢5000 to facilitate their anti-dumsor activities.

He therefore called on the party executives to investigate the matter and find out from the actress if indeed she received such amount from John Boadu and he also called on Yvonne to come out and clear her name.

He went on to allege that “ according the same budgetary allocation, an amount of GH¢78,000 was also set aside by the party to support the “Won Gbo” demonstration organized in Accra on February 15, 2015”.

Responding these allegations, the Party’s organizer questioned the loyalty of Baah to the course of the group, “how can you be in a party and leak its information to the media. Anytime we discuss an issue it finds its way in the media”
Obviously worried about these developments, Mr. Boadu whose memos requesting cash for particular party events sarcastically promised to copy the media anytime he writes a memo to his General Secretary.

“I write memos to my GS and all I see the next minute is sections of the media discussing its contents”. He stated, adding that some persons who have an agenda against the party’s flagbearer were behind such schemes.
“What everybody must understand is that Akuffo Addo is our flagbearer and nothing they do can change this” He said
