Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has denied reports that the late President, John Evans Atta Mills was rushed in a car boot to the maternity ward of the 37 Military Hospital.

Koku Anyidoho speaking on Asempa FM Monday, 20th July, 2015 said that the President was accorded all the necessary protocols befitting a President when he was taken ill on the morning of Tuesday, 24th July, 2015.

“The President was not rushed to 37 in Koku’s ford explorer….he was driven in a motorcade, the President was not sent to the maternity ward, the President was not sent to the children’s block….he was sent to the emergency ward...,” he said on the show.

Koku whiles reacting to widespread speculations that the late first gentleman of the land was rushed to the hospital in an improper manner before his death added that the President was driven in a white ambulance which had red inscriptions on it.

Reports indicate that the late President was first sent to the maternity ward of the hospital in the car boot of the distressed Koku Anyidoho.

But Koku who was then an aide to the President said the reports are untrue and argued further that the handlers of Prof Atta Mills ensured that he was given all the necessary treatment befitting a President.

Koku further added that the late President was declared ‘medically dead’ by Doctors at the facility after attending to him.

“It is never true that the President was already dead before he was sent to the hospital…,” he said.

According to him, the ambulance that conveyed the President to the hospital left the hospital after the President was declared dead insisting that the President was never left on his own as his ADC was still by his death bed.

The ‘bull’ as he is not known said he (Koku) arrived at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital late and was only allowed to enter the ward to see the President after ‘he was declared medically non-existent’.

“President Mills was not left on his own, he went to the hospital in a police driven motorcade led by qualified medical doctors…,” he said.

Koku however shied away from calls for the autopsy report of the late President.

To him, people are choosing not to believe his reports because ‘they want to hear things’ which they have cooked up themselves.

“It is vile propaganda…up to today, I still hear people on radio talk about that…it is not true, there is time for everything,” he said.

He claimed he has never been bothered ‘one-bit’ on reports about him becoming lonely on the death of President Mills.

“I am upset I don’t see myself in Daily Guide cartoons…please tell Gina Blay I need to be back in the cartoons…,” he said.
