The speech indicated that it was commendable that corporate institutions in the country were focusing their activities on youth development and that the country needed more of such establishments to support the awards scheme for more young people to be equipped to develop their communities.

The President said: “The awards seek to develop and maximise the potential of young people through selfless community service, challenges of adventure, skills development and physical recreation to make them exceptional individuals who can contribute to national development.”

Mr. Peter Akai Anum, The Executive Director of HOSA, Ghana, said the awards programme kept on playing a vital role in the sub-region and the world at large in terms of impact and best practice.

Mr. Anum was hopeful that the awards will challenge other youth and corporate institutions to give off their best.
