The Premier League Board has proposed October 4 2009, as the date for the start of the next season�s Glo Premier League after consultation with the Ghana Football Association, and is expected to meet the new FIFA deadline.
FIFA expects all national associations to end their various domestic leagues by the middle of May next year due to the World Cup 2010.
Player registration is scheduled to begin on 1st September and also the verification of players scheduled to begin from the 16th -25th of September.
All other adjustments will have to be ratified at the highest decision-making body, which is the Congress, from the 26th to the 27th of August in Accra. The Ghana Football Association has plans of bringing back the FA Cup for the first since 2005, although they are being faced with a tight calendar.
