I Am Not Ready For Any Radio Squabble With Mac Manu Silence Is Golden - Ayisi Boateng

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], George Ayisi Boateng has categorically stated that responding to insults from some NPP kingpins on radio will never be his option to clarify a statement he made earlier.

The NPP elder was purported to have said that the National Chairman Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong must be sidelined in the 2016 campaign being put together by the party's flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“Nana Addo should simply forget about Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong joining the campaign team. It takes a lot to trust someone,” he said.

The two national executives of the opposition party have endured heavy pressure to resign as many in the party believe they are not committed to the party’s push for power in 2016.

However, former party chairman, Mr. Mac Menu has expressed his utmost disappointment at the founding member's utterances - he described his suggestion as unfortunate.

But speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Mo Tie" George Ayisi Boateng noted that he is not ready for any radio squabble with the former chairman – “everybody is entitled to his opinion”.

He maintained that washing their dirty linens in public with the aim of gaining favour will rather destroy party unity – “Silence if golden”.
