Isaac Vorsah Joins FC Liefering In Austria

The 27-year-old will be playing in Austrias second tier football league when he returns from injury. Former Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has left Red Bulls Salzburg for FC Liefering in the second-tier Austrian Football First League on a free transfer, Goal understands. Vorsah, 27, joined Salzburg from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in 2012 and made a total of 18 appearances for the Reds before largely sitting out last season due to injury. The move to Austria is expected to allow the centre-back more playing time on his journey to full recovery from injury which has barred him from action for almost two years. Last week, Salzburg excluded Vorsah from their official team photo shoot ahead of the start of the new campaign. The photo ritual is part of the clubs integral pre-season activities, as it officially unveils the squad to be used for the new season. Vorsah contract ran out at the end of last season and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. He made 40 appearances for the Black Stars, scoring one goal. His last international outing was at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, where Ghana finished fourth after losing to Mali in the third place match.
