CAGD's Inability To Pay Junior Doctors Symptomatic Of Govt's Gross Economic Mismanagement

Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wougon has expressed disgust over the government's failure to remunerate junior doctors in the country.

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi, Hon. Agyarko was however not surprised about the government's apparent insensitivity to the plight of the doctors because to him, the Mahama administration has been noted for gross mismanagement of the economy.

He recounted that since the inception of the National Democratic Congress in power, sectors such as the oil and gas sector have not seen any major improvement.

And so, to him, the frustrations by the junior doctors are “just symptoms of gross economic mismanagement that we’re facing in this country. It’s unprecedented."

He further noted that President John Mahama and his government are only seeking after elections; hence neglecting their duties.

"This government, when it comes to elections; whatever it takes, the only thing that’s important to them is to win the elections," he stated.
