GBC Man Gets FIFA Post

The exploits of Mr. George Lomotey, head of Sports, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation(GBC) in the International Athletics Association Federation (IAAF) workshop in Dakar, last February, and the FIFA Broadcast Academy Accra workshop has attracted the attention of the two international sporting bodies-IAAF and AUB. Consequently, the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), IAAF has selected Mr Lomotey, who will join Senegalese and Mozambican coordinators to assist the AUB management in the FIFA 2010 World Cup coverage. The trio will also join the Carnal France International (CFI) coverage team for the forthcoming 12th IAAF World Athletics championship in Berlin, Germany from August 15 to 23. Thereafter, the three will embark on a two-day visit to CFI production unit in Paris in preparation for the role they will have to play. A letter to that effect, signed by the CEO of AUB, Mr. L. Atiase, Mr. Lomotey has tasked Mr. Lomotey to help the English-speaking team of commentators and carry out some other duties relating to production and overall coordination. According to the letter, Mr. Lomotey�s response to the international call would constitute an important contribution of the GBC to the development AUB�s activities.
