Bow Down Your Heads In Shame A Plus Condemns MUSIGA

Ghanaian Hip life artiste Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known in the showbiz industry as A Plus has condemned the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) due to the current state of the headquarters office in Accra.

The storey building office, was donated by the government of Ghana renovated by MUSIGA and commissioned and handed over to the union by the late President John Evans Attah Mills during his time as the country’s vice president in 1999.

In a message on his Facebook page, A Plus questioned the Union on how the 2million Ghana cedis, money which was allocated by the government to the creative arts industry, was utilized.

A close look at the building shows the building has been deprived of painting and other infrastructural activities. One of the stairs leading to the one of the offices, grasses are seen growing pretty well.

The “mesuro mpo na merekekayi” hit maker has tasked all members and executives of the union to bow down their heads in shame because this is a disgrace to the union.

He pleaded that members of the union should strive to make the place conducive and comfortable enough for the late President Mills soul and spirit for visiting.

“This building was given to us by the late Professor Mills. May his soul rest in peace. If not for anything, let's make the place, a place where his soul and spirit will be conformable visiting. The government of Ghana gave the creative arts two million Ghana cedis, more than what most equally relevant state institutions get. The building donated to us can't look like this. This is a disgrace and we must bow down our heads in shame”.

Another critical view of the pictures he uploaded on his page can be seen that one of the office is now the worshiping ground for one church name as Ultimate Christian Ministry.
