Hearts Will Not Be Relegated

The General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti, has stated categorically that Accra Hearts of Oak will never be relegated from the premiership.

“There is no way Hearts will go on relegation. Hearts can do anything. They can decide to score. You watch if Hearts will be relegated.”

He responded to a question on whether Kotoko were determined to deepen the woes of the Phobians by beating them on Sunday.

Mr Nti was speaking on a Fox FM sports programme, in Kumasi on Monday.

On the match itself the General Manager, was expecting a tough encounter and a beautiful football from both teams.

He observed that every club “is bent on winning home matches and Kotoko is poised not to drop a point at home, and will do their best to either win or split away matches.”

“Even if Kotoko should lose this match to Hearts on Sunday, our vision is to be in the Top Four of the ongoing First Capital Plus Premiership,” Mr Nti said.

He urged Kotoko fans to support the team as they did in their match against Obuasi Ashgold last Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium, which went a long way to boost the morale of the players.

Kotoko grossed about GH¢51,000 from the match against the Miners and it is expected that the Sunday match will really line the pockets of the Phobians with cash.
