Razak Brimah Joins Cordoba CF

The 28-year-old has rejoined the Spanish second-tier side on a two year-deal after a season at Mirandes.

Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has joined Spanish second-tier side Cordoba CF ahead of the 2015/2016 season.

The 28-year-old signed a two-year deal with The Caliphs on Wednesday after refusing to extend his stay at Mirandes at the end of the 2014/2015 season.

The former Tenerife goalkeeper left Cordoba for Mirandes last season after he failed to land the number one spot.

His return to the club coincides with their relegation to the Segunda Division, a season after they were promoted to the Spanish La Liga.

The Black Star and his new club will be targeting another return to the Spanish top-flight after finishing 20th on the Liga table last season.

Brimah is yet to taste top-flight football in Europe after leaving Ghana’s Nania FC for his adventures abroad.

He has become Ghana’s number one choice under coach Avram Grant. Brimah manned the post during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea where the Black Stars finished second behind Ivory Coast after losing the final match on penalties.

Cordoba will begin their Segunda campaign with a home match against Real Valladolid on August 22, 2015.

Brimah has also played for Real Betis and Guadalajara among the long list of clubs he has featured for.  He started his European adventure in Portugal where he played for Chaves and Uniao Madeira.
