Stop Paying Bribes For Movie Roles

Louis Saah-Acquahman, production manager for Venus Films and producer of L&D Films, is warning the public, specifically those who are desperate to act, to be careful of persons using his name to demand money, laptops, mobile phones and other items with a promise to give movie roles in an upcoming Venus Films’ production.

According to Louis, he is not involved in any such activity and that persons approached to give out such items and cash should inform the security agencies.

“I got info that some guys have been using my name…to collect money from wannabe actors.  I was told that they claimed they were shooting at Kasoa yesterday…; but they have been doing this for a long time. They call people and meet with them in Cape Coast and other places and take monies to the sum of GHȼ2000, GHȼ1500, etc from them. This time they told people to bring GHȼ200 in addition to ID cards and they are shooting at Kasoa. That’s how come someone, my friend Liebe, who is also a production manager, called to enquire and he told me about it,” Louis told News One.

“I want to reiterate to people out there that I am Louis Saah-Acquahman, production manager for Venus Films, and I am not collecting money or any other items to give roles. If you give them anything, you do that at your own expense. Thanks,” he added.

Scammers have always used names of actors and other celebrities to defraud unsuspecting victims, especially on social media. They are now gradually moving into behind the scenes movie crews.
