Chairman of the Central Regional Football Association and a member of the GFA Executive Committee, MNS Doe has stressed that the Ghanaian top flight will not lose value if the two most glamourous clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are relegated.

The former CAF Champions League winners have both struggled in the current premier league season with concerns over the two facing a potential relegation unless they win as many matches as they can in the last six premiership games to beat the drop.

There have been fears that the top flight will lose some glamour if one of the two clubs are demoted to the lower leagues but the controversial Doe has laughed off suggestions, insisting the league will still preserve its status with or without the two clubs.

"It is true that both clubs have the biggest following in the country but the rules are that the last three clubs on the table at the end of the league must be relegated and so I see nothing contrary to that", Doe stated.

"I think that may be financially we will not get the quantum of money we used to generate from their matches at the GFA but fact is that once they are relegated I think it wont affect Ghana Football in anyway".

Hearts and Kotoko clash in the Week 25 of the First Capital Plus Bank League on Sunday in a duel dubbed the battle for survival as both club lie within the relegation pit.
