Kotoko Resolve To Sell Striker Ahmed Toure At The End Of The Season

Struggling Ghanaian Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko are willing to listen to offers for Ivorian striker Ahmed Toure and the controversial marksman will be allowed to leave at the end of the season, a club source has told Ghanasportsonline.com. The source says Toure does not figure in the long-term strategy of coach David Duncan and the idea of the management now is finding a suitable buyer for the club's leading top scorer. It has become apparent that Toure would leave Kotoko, with the former Arsenal striker having offers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and South Africa. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Asante Kotoko had secured a trial with Zamalek for Toure, but the player had decided against a move to North African soil. The 28-year old was dropped from the Asante Kotoko team that edged Accra Hearts of Oak by 2-1 on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra on match day 25 of the First Capital Plus Premier League (PLB), despite the player claiming he was fully fit to have played a part in the game. This has increased speculations that Ahmed Toure is wanted out of Asante Kotoko.
