Majeed Waris Signs 3-Year Deal With French Club Lorient

Ghanaian striker Abdul Majeed Waris has finally signed a three-year contract with French Ligue 1 side Lorient from Turkish side Trabzonspor. Ghanasportsonline.com, can confirm. The 23-year-old arrived in Brittany on Wednesday to complete the move which is reportedly worth 4.5million euro. Waris sealed the deal with the Le Minus after reportedly rejecting an offer from fellow Ligue 1outfit Rennes who had also expressed interest in the Ghanaian international. The former Spartak Moscow man could not sparkle in Turkey having been hit by several injuries hence placing him on the sidelines. The Black Stars attacker thus replaces fellow countryman Jordan Ayew who left for English Premier League Club Aston Villa. He is however expected to be unveiled in the coming days and join his new teammate to prepare for the upcoming League season.
