Just as a new Premier League season heralds the arrival of new players to boost a clubs fortunes comes a crop of new beautiful women who keep their spirits high.

The current crop of top-flight wives and girlfriends have a range of strings to their bow, with many of them stars in their own right from former world No 1 tennis player in Ana Ivanovic, Manchester United signing Bastian Schweinsteiger's girlfriend, to the traditional models, actresses and TV presenters.

Also at United, Morgan Schneiderlin's girlfriend was a star of France's version of Survivor while David de Gea's partner represented Spain at Eurovision.

Along with the new wave of significant others are the mainstays of English football's red carpets, including Stoke striker Peter Crouch's Strictly Come Dancing star wife Abbey and Bacary Sagna's French model wife Ludivine.
