$100M Vanishes Into Thin Air: Finance Minister, BoG Governor Must Be Questioned NOW!!!

Crusaders For Change (C.F.C) has noticed with shock how taxpayers money especially our oil revenue has been looted or diverted into private or individuals acount.

The NDC Government needs to explain how US$100 Million of oil revenues earmarked for debt repayment came to disappear from the vaults of the Bank of Ghana. Why?

The Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper, in the 2015 Mid Year Budget Review, stated in paragraph 156, among others, that the "Sinking Fund account has been opened by the Controller & Accountant General's Department AND A TOTAL OF US$100.00 MILLION HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED INTO IT."

He further went on to say, in black and white, that "in March 2015 Bank of Ghana swept all positive balances in Government accounts MAKING THE ACCOUNTS BALANCE ZERO".

The Director of the Petroleum Secretariat at Bank of Ghana has however challenged the Minister of Finance on this matter. According to the official, not even US$1 was transferred into the account. So, in whose account was, if any, was the US$100 Million transferred?

The Minister of Finance, and President John Mahama must immediately, without further delay, trace and report to the good people of Ghana who has the US$100 Million.

As we speak, various segments of public sector workers are on strike over a variety of issues, including their pay.

The President, and his Finance Minister would have us believe that there is no money to pay these workers, yet, right under our very noses, US$100 Million has vanished into thin air?

We are therefore urging the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service to effect arrests as we speak, starting with the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana and all accomplices.
