Kwabena Agyapong Lobbys NDC To Pick Opuni As Mahamas Running Mate

As preparations for our intra party elections begin, there is always the moments where people would be bidding or lobbying for their preferred candidates, which is sometimes, acceptable.

But, it becomes the contrary when the lobbying of top positions in our party the NDC is championed or done by others from the other political divide. It's so unfortunate and this is the least we expected as party faithful.

It's so a shocking revelation that the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr Kwabena Agyapong together with Dr Ernest Opoku, the independent parliamentary candidate for Atwima Kwanwoma constituency are strongly advocating for Dr Opuni to partner as running mate to President Mahama in the next general elections. We find this as unusual, though, we find some good political fortunes with these acts to our party.

But, it's imperative of us to be weary of such intruders, because this is unacceptable and impolite. So, we cannot sit down with our arms folded, but rather, we want to send out a clear warning to Mr Kwabena Agyapong to stay out clearly on internal matters of the NDC.

We think that, if there is any works for him to do, then, he should concentrate fully on how to clean up the messes he has created for his party, the NPP. We don't need any form of lobbying or favor as a party, all we care about is winning the next elections on a fair grounds.

Also, to Dr Ernest Opoku, the independent parliamentary candidate for Atwima Kwanwoma constituency in the Ashanti region, we have always thought you were with us in good faith, but, it's unfortunate you teamed up with Kwabena Agyapong in such lobbying. We have been sad with your decision to go on as an independent candidate, it's sad, because, we thought, you had plans and programs for us in the NDC.

We thought you pledged your support to the NDC and we find it disheartened that you shift stands to prepare to file as an independent candidate for the Atwima Kwanwoma constituency. We find this your decision as suicidal to the fortunes of us in the NDC in the constituency, because, we believe votes would spilt and the NPP would have it way to capture the seat and continually put the entire constituency in a state of hopelessness.

In this regard, we see it as stabbing us in the NDC in the dark and we least expected you to further team up with Kwabena Agyapong of the NPP to lobby for top position in the NDC for Dr. Opuni. We find your actions as a betrayal to the party you openly support.

In this case, we wish to make these recommendations to President Mahama, Mr Kwabena Agyapong and Dr Ernest Opoku.

1. We want the president to stay focus and not to be moved by any form of disruptive lobbying from any person. We know he knows who is best to partner him in the next general elections to guarantee a massive victory for the NDC.

2. Also, to Mr Kwabena Agyapong and Dr. Ernest Opoku, we wish to warn them strongly to stay away clearly from matters of our party, the NDC. We want Kwabena Agyapong to focus on his NPP and fix the messes he has created for them.

3. To Dr Opuku Ernest, we want you to know that we have had enough of your betrayal to the NDC and we want you to stay out clearly from our internal party lobbying and backing, because, you don't worthy that again.
