GLICO LIFE, a leading name in life insurance in Ghana, has presented two hundred (200) students chairs to the Army Recruit Training School of Ghana, Shai Hills. This donation is in line with fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility in the area of education. Presenting the Chairs to the training School at a short presentation ceremony, the Chief Business Development Officer for Individual Life Marketing Operations, Mr. John Ekar Smart stated that, "this gesture by GLICO LIFE is to improve basic education needs of the training school as it endeavour to train and build up army persons to protect and defend Mother Ghana". Receiving the student chairs on behalf of the training school, the Commanding Officer of the school, Lt. Col. Augustine Asiedu thanked GLICO LIFE for this wonderful gesture and stated that it was always gratifying when companies such as GLICO LIFE assist to improve the conditions of the army. He assured GLICO LIFE that the school will take the best care of the chairs as it came at the time that it was most needed to achieve its operational objectives. Present at the ceremony were other GLICO LIFE Business Development Coordinators in the persons of Mr. Eric Asemnor and Mr. Elikplim Yevugah for Southern Sector and Burma Camp Office respectively. Additionally, there were representatives of army students and officials of the training school present. Commendably, GLICO LIFE is one insurance company that focuses on leaving positive footprints in the lives of its policyholders, stakeholders and the general Ghanaian community. To this end, it takes appropriate actions that are over and above industry standard to give back, whenever it can, to support the very people and institutions that have made GLICO what it is today.
