Reggae and dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy was with Samini Music Record Label for sometime before breaking away. Even though their separation raised a lot of eyebrows, Stonebwoy has never seized to express his respect for Samini.

Last year, Stonebwoy put up a post on Facebook in which he promised Samini that he was going to make him proud and one can testify that the Bhimnation crooner has lived up to his promise. A year later, he has won several nominations and several awards both in Ghana and on the international front. Stonebwoy lost the mother few days after winning this year’s BET African Act Award and she is due to be buried in September this year.

His Facebook post read; “As raw as the photo is.. Same is the salute and respect I have for the man @samini_dagaati loads of things I learnt from him in addition to my God given talent.. Directly and indirectly.. Mistakes ,corrections, Humility, forcefulness, selflessness, hardwork.
