As the Holy Book in Proverbs 16:7 said, “When people's lives please the Lord, even their enemies are at peace with them,” ambitious infrastructure projects dotted across the country by the John Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress government’s is gradually being appreciated by even, its virulent critics.

In what many would describe as amazing, an unrepentant critic of Mahama administration and Corporate Affairs Manager of Airtel Ghana, Kwame Gyan, has unexpectedly praised government to high heavens for constructing the 302km Wa-Tamale road.

Kwame Gyan, who is noted for passing disparaging comments about the government and the president and, who at the least opportunity portrayed it (gov’t) ‘’as sleeping on the job’ or, doing nothing to improve the lives of Ghanaians, recently confessed to how the Mahama government has transformed the Wa-Tamale road into one that is admirable by all.

As if hypnotized by the President’s wave of infrastructural development in the country, Kwame Gyan, in a facebook post, wrote:
“I recently returned from Wa in the Upper West Region. The 302km Wa-Tamale road is one of the best I have ever used. New road with proper road markings, well placed speed ramps, a bridge or two where needed and all. We made the trip in just under 4 hours

The colleagues I was travelling with kept telling me how excruciatingly painful to travel between the two towns a few months ago. They say the average time for the 302km road then was 9 hours, if one was lucky,” he stated.

The road has been fixed now. I don't know how long it took but I love what has been done to it. I understand it was started under the Mills/Mahama Administration. When i drove on the Apedwa-Nsawam road and was upset I most likely wrote a piece or two about it so when government does its job and does it well, I wanna say 'good job Mr. President'.

The people that will appreciate the road more are the thousands that were previously subjected to the tortious 9 or 10 hour drive on a 302km stretch”.
