Christian Atsu Fails To Recover for Bournemouths Goal-fest

Christian Atsu did not feature for AFC Bournemouth on Saturday due to the same injury that had kept the Ghanaian from kicking a ball in the English Premier League this season.

Atsu who impressed in pre-season games for his new loan club got injured close to the start of the campaign and has since missed Premier League games against Aston Villa, Liverpool and West Ham United. New boys AFC Bournemouth run the show without their loan man from Chelsea in their visit against West Ham United.

Callum Wilson shocked the home side with a first half double for Bournemouth who went into the interval leading West Ham United by two goals to nil. The Hammers recovered in the second half to pull all two goals back via Mark Noble [penalty] and Cheikhou Kouyate.

Marc Pugh restored the lead for Atsu’s Bournemouth before Callum Wison sealed his hat-trick from the penalty spot. Modibo Maiga scored for West Ham but it was AFC Bournemouth who took all three points on the day with a 4-3 win.
