Chief Biney Is True Native Of Ekumfi - Mills' Father

The family chief of Ekumfi Nanaben, Nana Obosu XII has rubbished rumors circulating in the Ekumfi constituency, especially, by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirants and party members that an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the area, Chief Hamilton Nixon Biney is not a native of Ekumfi, hence, cannot contest the upcoming primary.

Nana Obosu who inherited late President John Evans Atta Mills’ father expressed shock about such fabrications and described Chief Biney as a true son of the area who has contributed a lot to the area as a native of Ekumfi.

He again described him (Chief Biney) as humble, respectful and hardworking man who can work hard to bring development to the Ekumfi constituency and assured of support from the citizens to ensure Chief Biney wins the upcoming NDC primary and parliamentary election as well.

Nana Obosu who was speaking to the media at Ekumfi Narkwa said Chief Biney is the best among all the aspirants in the area and appealed to the delegates to shun rumors and vote massively for Chief Biney to lead the party in the Ekumfi constituency.

On his part, the head of Aboradze family, Obaatan Kwesi Bepo who gave a history of Chief Biney on how and where he was born warned to deal with anyone who will spread such bad information about him.

He hinted that Chief Biney is their family member who hailed from Ekumfi Narkwa and belongs to the Aboradze family and challenged to sue anyone who will tarnish the good name of Chief Biney and the Aboradze family as well.

The Chief of Narkwa, Nana Ayiden on behalf of the chiefs in the area threw their support and prayers behind Chief Biney to enable him fight for the development of the area as the chiefs and people of Narkwa lack developmental projects.

Chief Biney who spoke to the media afterwards declared his intention to contest for the Ekumfi constituency seat no matter what people will say about him and promised to bring unity within the Ekumfi NDC constituency if given the nod to lead the party.

Chief Biney who doubles as the former vice chairman of Ekumfi constituency called on his contenders and followers not see themselves as enemies because of primaries, but rather come together as one people to fight for victory in the area.

He said even though past Members of Parliament (MP’s) within the constituency have done well to transform the area, there is the need for him to continue the good work by the previous MP’s and appealed to the delegates to vote for him massively in the upcoming election.
