Aspirant Exposes Okudzeto-Ablakwa

Christopher Kofi Eleblu, a parliamentary aspirant of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the North Tongu Constituency of the Volta Region, has accused the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of allegedly planning to defame him.

This, according to Kofi Eleblu, was part of a grand scheme by the Deputy Minister of Education to prevent him from contesting in the impending primaries.

Mr. Eleblu, a former Director of Internal Audit at the Ministry of Health (MoH), made this known while reacting to a story published by state-owned Ghanaian Times on August 28, 2015, which accused him and two officials of defrauding the state between 2008 and 2009 to the tune of GH¢647,000 whilst working at MoH during the period.

He alleged that the said story published by Ghanaian Times was orchestrated by Okudzeto Ablakwa solely to tarnish his image and make him unpopular among his supporters ahead of the primaries in the constituency.

He further alleged that the deputy minister had planned to cause his arrest and detention before the NDC’s November 7, 2015 elections.
