NDC Primaries: Kuntu Blankson Launches �Sankofa Wonkyir�� Campaign

Former Member of Parliament for the Ekumfi constituency, George Kuntu Blankson, has officially launched his campaign after picking his nomination forms to contest the parliamentary elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Esuenhyia in the Central Region.

Enthusiastic Kuntu is very optimistic of wining the NDC’s November 7, primaries – he will be contesting the incumbent MP, Hon. Abeiku Crentsil and newcomer], Chief Binney Harmiton.

The campaign dubbed “Sankofa Wonkyir’’ was graced by some bigwigs in the NDC after they have declared their support to the former NDC lawmaker – they include, Mr. S.L.K. Quansah, former Ghana Ambassador to India during the Rawlings administration, Nana Tweneboah, Adam Seidu, member of the NDC regional communication team and Mr. Fiifi Essuman campaign manager.

Hundreds of Kuntu supporters also donned T shirt displaying his photo under a slogan: ’’ Sankofa Wonkyir’’ to cheer the launch.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Kuntu Blankson appealed to the party electoral directorate to do well to provide a level playing field to the contestants – “Our [NDC] activities are been monitored by people around us, so therefore we must do this election diligently and with fairness”

He says the various development projects he did for the people in the past will boost his chances and further increase his electoral fortune in the 2016 general elections.

The former MP donated GHC500.00 to support activities of the party in the constituency.

He also donated tool kits to mechanics and head dressers to enable them start their own businesses as part of his effort alleviate poverty in the area.
