Don't Elect Divisive Leaders For CPP - Kabila Tells Party Delegates

Aspiring General Secretary for the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh, has advised the rank and file of his party to elect leaders who will unite the CPP.

Speaking on "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, James Kwabena Bomfeh urged the party delegates to be vigilant and ensure that they don't elect executives who will cause divisions and acrimony within the party.

According to him, the CPP must become a formidable force to major opposition parties like the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

James Kwabena Bomfeh was however optimistic that the party Congress that comes off this year will see the delegates make the right choices to cement the destiny of the CPP.

“The party members are very cautious of that that going forward at Congress, we won’t elect divisive people. They want unity of purpose. They want unity of focus. And they want people who can unite the party within and outside the party…CPP will do it better than the NPP and NDC...”

He further added that Monday, September 21, 2015 which happens to be Ghana's Founder's day will "mark the beginning of the rebuilding process of the Convention People’s Party to come and transform the politics of Ghana to make Ghana work again for Ghanaians.”
